New 2017 RAM 1500 at Boardwalk Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for Redwood City, CA

This is the work truck most rely on to get the job done well, and yet it can also be the everyday truck they use on weekends for just getting around in general-- without the fuel concerns that a work truck traditionally has. For 2017, the phenomenal RAM 1500 has a giant grab bag of standard features, like the Uconnect 8.4 media user interface, a rear park assist, a streamlined instrument cluster, automatic two-zone temperature control, a rear backup camera, and a remote starter. There are rain-sensing wipers on the Laramie Longhorn, plus, new SmartBeam technology, LED lighting lights inside the truck bed, and Keyless Go-- all as standard. On the Bighorn 2017 model, there is a new automatic temperature control. Also, the Sport model keeps things safe and easy with both a remote start and a security alarm. The RAM Rebel hits its targets with new items such as an automatic dual-zone temperature control, the Uconnect 8.4/media hub, anti-spin differential, a security alarm, and so much more!

Under the 1500's Hood

There is an 8-speed automatic transmission on the RAM 1500, working in partnership with a 3.6-liter gasoline V6 engine as standard. That 3.6-liter engine stirs up 305 horsepower and a hefty 269 pound-feet of torque. The standard engine on the Limited, Laramie Longhorn, and Sport models is a 5.7-liter V8 engine that throws itself in the ring with 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque (an option on other models- except the HFE). The HFE model inherits the EcoDiesel as standard, which is a turbo 3.0-liter diesel V6 engine that uses its 240 horsepower to attain an astounding 420 lb-ft of torque. A correctly outfitted 2017 Ram 1500 with the V6 gasoline engine could tow up to 7,610-lbs, the EcoDiesel V6 can tow up to 9,210-lbs, and the V8 engine will tow up to 10,640-lbs! The EcoDiesel engine is a potential choice on all minus the Rebel, Sport, and Express. The Rebel model has an active-level, all-corners air suspension system as standard. Rear-wheel drive is found as standard, or you can select between dual available 4WD systems. Both of these 4WD systems have a two-speed transfer case and utilize low-range gearing. For the suspension, all 1500 models employ 5-link coil springs on the rear end and twin-tube shocks.

Design of RAM 1500

The 2017 RAM 1500 is composed of several super-useful items, such as: a remote start, voice controls, keyless entry and ignition, a Wi-Fi hotspot, power-adjustable pedals, and Bluetooth! A 6-speaker audio system appears in most cases, which is excellent in quality whether you are listening to the sports channel or music on the way to the job site. The Sport, Big Horn/Lone Star, Tradesman, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, HFE, Rebel, Express, Limited, and the SLT are the core models and all make the grade in 2017. The Ram 1500 has size choices for the Uconnect touchscreen: either 5-inch or 8.4-inch. The Laramie Longhorn, Limited, and Laramie models bring even more sound intensity with 10 speakers (a subwoofer for base as well) as part of the Premium II package. This package brings an Alpine audio system and a twelve-channel amplifier! The Rebel model has wanted features such as keyless entry, tow hooks, an anti-spin differential, LED fog-lights, all-terrain tires, black fender flares,17-inch wheels, front/rear Bilstein performance shock absorbers (all other models are rated heavy-duty), and the optional RamBox storage system. The Rebel is formulated in a work-ready Crew Cab arrangement, which has a 5-foot-7-inch truck bed.
